Wrong Meeting
Wrong Meeting is the album that could very easily make stars out of Andrew Weatherall and Keith Tenniswood, but perversely, its release is limited to 1,000 vinyl boxed set units.
Wrong Meeting is the album that could very easily make stars out of Andrew Weatherall and Keith Tenniswood, but perversely, its release is limited to 1,000 vinyl boxed set units. It means that only dedicated Swordsmen fans will get to hear Weatherall’s transformation from anonymous studio bod to cocky frontman, and the act’s own transition into a rocking live band. With narratives inspired by traumatic events in Weatherall’s personal life and a smoky, whisky-sodden soundtrack that borrows from Nick Cave, The Fall and the maverick DJ’s love of ‘50s rockabilly, it sounds like the Swordsmen sold their souls to Old Nick himself in exchange for songs like ‘Get Out Of My Kingdom’. This is so wrong, it’s right.
