Word Up Collective to celebrate first birthday in Bello Bar

A year, the first Word Up event shook the Bello Bar. Now, 12 months later, the organisers have built a substantial audience and are planning a festival run for the summer, as well as moving to a new venue.

For their anniversary show, Word Up will have a special Backshed Inc performance from Damola, Sam Ojo, Ange MC and Edmund Ama Omagbemi; Cork's Outsider YP (aka Young Phantom) ahead of the release of his new mixtape; Word Up's own punk hip-hop pioneer Anti-One; plus the very best in spoken word.
