Wolf Alice Respond to Fat White Family Labeling Them "drivel for angry nine-year-olds"
"Fuck off" says bassist Theo Ellis
The two UK bands, who have toured together in the past fell out recently when Fat White Family described Wolf Alice's music as "drivel for angry nine-year-olds" in an interview with Time Out. FWF also dubbed them "irresponsible" for not speaking out politically.
Wolf Alice have now hit back at FWF in return. Talking to Time Out, Ellie Rowsell said: “There's an element of truth in what they're saying. But I don't think they should call out other bands, you know? It's a bit presumptuous and a bit mean. We're learning and adjusting all the time. And also I listened to their album and I couldn't hear a word he was saying.”
Bassist Theo Ellis chimed in adding, “Also, fuck off.”
Joel Amey weighed in asserting, “Honestly, if the biggest problem you've got in life is Wolf Alice and fucking indie music then you've got it fine.”
Wolf Alice will play Electric Picnic in Stradbally in September.
