Witnness relocation program
The Witnness festival moves from its customary August bank-holiday slot to mid-July. All the better to not get rained on, my dear
Those music-loving Guinness people have confirmed that this year's Witnness festival is being brought forward to July 13th and 14th.
"The new dates will ensure fans who usually go on holiday over the August Weekend won't miss out on the summer's best excuse to kick back and break loose," says Witnness' Nicola Watkins, who also points out that July has 50% less rainfall than August.

There's no word yet on headliners, although with Prodigy, Blur, The Strokes, Beastie Boys and Massive Attack all due new albums before July, there won't be a shortage of crowd-pullers to choose from.
