Winner of Gibney's Battle of The Bands to open for "iconic Dublin band" at Malahide Castle and Gardens
The battle for a Malahide Castle and Gardens support slot for an "iconic Dublin band" is heating up
Four local acts are set to compete at the final of the Battle of the Bands competition in Gibney's for the chance to open for a "mystery headliner" at Malahide Castle and Gardens this summer.
After a couple of incredible semi-finals, which brimmed with dazzling musicianship, the final battle-off will take place in Gibney's on March 27 at 7:30pm. The two semi-final winners - DC Dolls and Brake Loose - as well as two wildcards - The Swings and Alky Music - will face off in front of a judging panel, who'll they be looking to impress to secure the two coveted support slots.
The mystery headliner - who've been described as "an iconic Dublin band" - will also be performing a short, 5-song acoustic set on the evening, before they announce the support acts for the main event at the West Lawn, Malahide Castle on May 31.
