Windmill Lane Recording Studios issue plea to artists
As part of the studios expansion plans, Windmill Lane are encouraging anybody who recorded there using 2" multi-track tapes to claim their tapes.
Windmill Lane Recording Studios have issued a plea to the literally thousands of acts who’ve crossed their famous threshold since 1978.
“Any artists who recorded in Windmill Lane using 2” multi-track tapes please be advised we are in the process of disposing of these in line with the expansion of the studios,” the say. “Over the years they have begun to deteriorate and are of questionable use. We will be retaining many classic and seminal recordings for posterity. We are encouraging all artists or their representation to claim their tapes before they’re disposed of commencing May 7.
“We’re also encouraging enthusiasts and fans alike to visit the studios for your last chance to see the significance of these nostalgic pieces all in one place again.”
