White City
The nondescript world of indie rock was a very different place back in 2007, when Dublin fivesome DC Tempest first came to Hot Press’ attention. Luke Pritchard was king of the universe, for one. While preppy guitar riffs and large hair no longer make up the criteria for a successful record, DC’s Cities EP echoes the best moments of those boom years for swoonish rock. ‘White City’ is the probably the strongest track of the five, and certainly the most epic. Impressive stuff.
