Westside Cowboy announce new album with release of 'Kick Stones (The Boys)'
The Manchester quartet are set to release their debut album, It Goes on through Island Records on August 21.
Westside Cowboy have announced their debut album, It Goes On set to be released by Island Records on August 21.
The announcement is accompanied with the release of a new single, 'Kick Stones (The Boys)'.
The album is produced by Loren Humphrey, who has also worked with other notable acts including Geese, Cameron Winter and Wunderhorse.
The quartet will be supporting the album release with their biggest headline tour to date this autumn including shows at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town and Manchester’s Albert Hall. They will also appear at Green Man, Latitude, and Reading and Leeds this summer. However, they currently have no upcoming gigs scheduled for Ireland.
“Put simply, we wanted to make an album for our younger selves, one that reminds us of all the bodies of work that made us fall in love with music,” the group said about their upcoming record.
"We wanted the music to be instant, concise, and honest to us as people today. There will be plenty of time in the future for the sprawling triple album with horns and string sections but for now, it’s young music made by some young(ish) people.
"We want to make songs that are lean and imperfect. We’re really proud of it and we hope that you enjoy it.”
The announcement is accompanied with a music video for the new single.
