Weezer 'Cleopatra' - Track Review
After piquing our interest last fortnight with a brief snippet from their duet with Best Coast’s Bethany Costentino (‘Go Away’), this issue Weezer release a new, full-length single. A song about the unrelenting march of time, the track sees the Rivers Cuomo-led alt rock icons in vintage form and sounds like it could be lifted from their first self-titled record. Metal solos, acoustic verses and odd but exciting hooks are the order of the day: after a decade of increasingly awful offerings, it looks like the title of their next album, Everything Will Be Alright In The End is a fitting one.
