WATCH: Wexford’s Gordon Barry unveils video for prize-winning single

A song which gained critical acclaim from a judging panel comprised of none other than Tom Waits and Lorde, it’s no surprise that ‘Devil & St Jesus’ has become the first release from Barry's upcoming debut album. Vivid imagery, delicate vocals and deft turn of phrase, it’s a track which showcases the best of the songwriter.

The video, shot on black magic cameras is crisp, stripped back and straightforward. Gordon explained to Hot Press: “I wanted a video without an elaborate concept, just something that carried the words as that’s what made the win”.

The album The Best Way To Kill A Monster is set to arrive on Spotify and iTunes by the end of the year.
