WATCH: St Vincent Unveils Surreal Video For ‘New York’
An artistic, Manhattan inspired video, bursting with colour is a fitting accompaniment to St Vincent’s pop hit ‘New York.'
Directed by Alex Da Corte, he describes the New York as depicted in the video as:
“[the] New York of my dreams — one that is blurry and fractured, dreamy and flat. It is the Toontown to my Hollywood. It is beautiful but slightly out of reach.”
It’s certainly an idyllic caricature of the city, a far cry from the colourless, high rise projects of the Bronx.
St. Vincent is set to play Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on Friday October 20th. Tickets are priced between €28.50 and €37 and are on sale through Ticketmaster.
