Watch: Ryan Adams breaks out rootsy 'Oh My Sweet Carolina' on Colbert
With the bluegrass outfit Infamous Stringdusters and Nicki Bluhm
Even with Ryan Adams giving us album after album, a deluxe reissue of his brilliant debut Heartbreaker is a welcome addition to his catalogue.
Promoting that reissue, Adams reminded us of just how beautiful that album could get last night on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
He teamed up with Charlottesville bluegrass band Infamous Stringdusters and singer-songwriter Nicki Bluhm for a heartfelt rendition of his fan-favourite 'Oh My Sweet Carolina'.
The number was a comforting break from the depressing political topics Colbert has been covering lately.
Check it out below. The Heartbreaker reissue is out now.
