WATCH: Jorja Smith unveils passionate break-up single ‘All Of This’
The English singer shared a personal music video for the hypnotic single.
British soul/pop sensation Jorja Smith has dropped a brand new break-up single, titled ‘All Of This’.
The accompanying music video features candid footage of Smith in an old home video style in the studio, on a rooftop and outside. It’s an infectious track which features the BRIT Award winner wrapping up the bitter lyrics in smooth vocals.
“You'd say that you were all mine / You knew that your words were hard to stand by / I was scared of change but then I complied / Even though it hurt I stayed and now I'm / Glad you have it all but there's things that you can't buy,” she sings.
DJ Guilty Beatz produced the track, which clocks in at over five minutes long. “I met [Guilty] when I went over to Port Antonio in Jamaica for a writing camp in 2019,” Smith said of their collaboration. “He’s so wonderful to work with and when we initially started the song, it was more a fall to the floor type beat.”
“He’s shared Amapiano playlists with me before and then during the first lockdown in 2020, he sent me a version of the song like it is now. It’s all about someone who doesn’t deserve you and thinking wow, you really had all of my once, ew,” she added about the track.
The one-off single follows up the R&B sensation’s recent EP, Be Right Back, which was released in May this year. The 24-year-old also featured on Jaykae’s '1000 nights', which dropped in July. Smith recently performed at Radio 1’s big weekend alongside Ed Sheeran, Wolf Alice and Royal Blood.
