WATCH: Geese perform songs from Getting Killed on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert
The band performed three songs from their 2025 album
Geese performed songs from their album Getting Killed as part of NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series. The performance took place in December, and was released yesterday by NPR Music.
The Brooklyn band, made up of singer/guitarist Cameron Winter, guitarist Emily Green, bassist Dominic DiGesu, and drummer Max Bassin (and joined on tour by pianist Sam Revaz), were one of the breakout stories of 2025. Following the success of their critically acclaimed third album, Getting Killed, Geese have been touring around the world, and will be playing Electric Picnic in Ireland this August.
Per tradition, the band arrived at the Tiny Desk with items of their own to add to the lovingly cluttered set. DiGesu brought a New York Mets hat, a stuffed Snoopy, a figurine of Sonic the Hedgehog cradling Jesus, Minecraft sticky notes, and a small, toy goose gifted to them on tour.
The band played three songs, ‘Husbands’, ‘Cobra’, and ‘Half Real’. In a quick break after the first song, and the loud applause that followed, frontman Cameron Winter joked with the audience, and the NPR staff.
“Is this a ticketed thing, or is this… how do you guys get into this?” Winter said. “I thought it was just NPR staffers here, I don’t know. And friends. NPR staffers don’t have this many friends, for God’s sakes. I’m just kidding. I’m kidding, I’m kidding. Don’t turn the cameras off.”
