It’s only 22 seconds long but the first teaser trailer for American Horror Story: Freakshow didn’t just chill our blood but also froze the marrow in our bones.

Debuting Stateside on FX in October, the action centres around a 1950s travelling carnival with Jessica Lange, Angela Basset, Kathy Bates and Evan Peters among the heavyweight cast.
