Based on the novel by Thomas Hardy, the film will be released by Fox Searchlight on May 1, 2015.

Far From The Madding Crowd follows Bathsheba Everdene in her relationships with three men. Courted by a sheep farmer, a Sergeant, and a wealthy bachelor, Bathsheba's story is one of both passion and hardship.

The film adaptation of Hardy's literary romance stars Carey Mulligan, Matthias Schoenaerts, Tom Sturridge and Michael Sheen.
