WATCH: Elton John and Brandi Carlile's ‘Who Believe In Angels?’ music video
Elton John and Brandi Carlile are set to launch their new album on April 4.
Elton John and Brandi Carlile have released a music video for their new single ‘Who Believes In Angels?’
The track is the lead single for an upcoming collaborative album between John and Carlile, also titled Who Believes In Angels?
"I think all ships rise with Elton John’s standards for songwriting, and it was an incredibly challenging and inspiring environment to work in, everybody throwing in ideas, everybody listening to everybody else’s ideas," said Carlile. "It felt like a family."
Other artists joining the album include award-winning producer and songwriter Andrew Watt, long time collaborator, producer, and songwriter Bernie Taupin, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, renowned bassist Pino Palladino, and Josh Klinghoffer, formerly of Red Hot Chili Peppers and now touring with Pearl Jam.
“This record was one of the toughest I’ve ever made, but it was also one of the greatest musical experiences of my life,” said John. “It has given me a place where I know I can move forward.”
“Who Believes In Angels? feels like going into another era and I’m pushing the door open to come into the future,” he continued. “As far as I’m concerned, this is the start of my career mark 2.”
For the first time, John has allowed filming of the writing and recording process.
The footage will be used in a documentary titled Who Believes In Angels? Stories on the Edge of Creation - you can watch the trailer below.
