WATCH: Confusion as Megadeth collect Grammy Award while Metallica song plays
Megadeth picked up the award for Best Metal Performance at the Grammys last night - but the house band accidentally played a Metallica song as they accepted the prize.
Dave Mustaine was the original co-founder of Metallica before he was fired from the band for problems with drugs, alcohol and in-fighting. He went on to form Megadeth and much has written about their ‘feud’ ever since.
While Metallica had their own problems as they dealt with technical issues during their performance with Lady Gaga, Megadeth picked up the prize for Best Metal Performance for ‘Dystopia’. But as they took to the podium, the house band played the Metallica classic ‘Master Of Puppets’.
Thankfully, the Megadeth lads didn't seem to mind. Watch the clip here:
