Brangelina is no more, and Adele couldn't contain her surprise while performing at a concert in New York last night.

The actresses' lawyer, Robert Offer, confirmed yesterday that she has filed for divorce. Offer said she formally filed for "dissolution of marriage" on Monday, stating that the "decision was made for the health of the family"

The English singing sensation - who is renowned for chatting throughout her shows with the audience - described it as "the end of an era".

She said she didn't know them personally, but told the audience that, "I'm glad I spoke about that because I was playing on my mind," she said.
