Aaron Rowe was selected to sing 'Amhrán na bhFiann' at the Aviva Stadium last night ahead of Ireland's World Cup qualifying victory over Portugal.
In a post on Instagram, the Dublin singer-songwriter called his national anthem performance the "proudest moment of my life."
Troy Parrott scored twice to help Ireland secure a 2-0 victory oover Portugal. The match also saw Portuguese captain Cristiano Ronaldo receive a red card after elbowing Dara O'Shea.
The result means that if Ireland beat Hungary in Budapest on Sunday, they will qualify for the World Cup.
Gearoid McCarthy sang 'Amhrán na bhFiann' at Ireland's match against Armenia last month, and Dan McCabe sang it ahead of the Ireland v. Hungary match in September.
