The Dublin actress came to international fame when she landed the role of the despicable Cruella De Vil in Once Upon a Time.
Despite being killed off in the last season anything is possible in the town of Storybrook with Victoria Smurfit proudly reprising her role as Cruella De Vil.
Once Upon A Time is an ABC production with a huge following Stateside. The show incorporates fantasy characters ranging from Frozen to Wizard of Oz. In Season 4, Smurfit landed the role of Cruella De Vil, the puppy skinning villain. Her performance as De Vil won over thousands of followers and her death in the show came as a huge blow to the audience. They'll be delighted to know however, that Smurfit will be back in a spin-off show.
"The writer, Jane Espenson, has written a two-hander with me and another actor," Smurfit revealed to the Diary, "So that happened, even though we have wrapped on the show. It's a little extra bit, which will be fun. And what's next, I never know."

No doubt followers of the show will be rejoicing at the prospect of hearing Smurfit enact that cackling Cruella laugh. Her appearance on the show has spurred on her US TV success as she is now leading the cast for the film Homecoming. Described by Smurfit as "the grown-up version of Mean Girls" Homecoming is now in post-production.

Smurfit has no projects lined up on this side of the Atlantic but she admits she "would love to come home and do a job." With the success that she is thriving on, no doubt we will be seeing plenty more of Smurfit on our screens.
