UPDATED: Point Theatre plans re-opening
After over a year in refurbishment, the Point will now re-open as The 02 this December. Update: an artist's impressions of what you can expect from the new venue.
The first images have been released, showing us what to expect from the newly refurbished Point Theatre, which will re-open in December as The O2.
As previously announced on hotpress.com, after being closed for some time for refurbishment the Point Theatre is set to re-open as a 13,000 capacity venue by the end of the year.
The Point plans to re-open in December in partnership with Live Nation, and under the sponsorship of O2, an who will now lend their name to the venue, making it The O2.
The press blurb promises "unrivalled acoustics" and a "unique tiered seating design", along with added benefits for O2 customers, including the chance to buy tickets 48 hours before they go on general release, and fast track entry to the venue.
