Two people have died after a man fell seven storeys at an ABBA tribute concert in Sweden.
Thirty minutes before the tribute show was due to begin at the Uppsala Konsert & Kongress hall, located 45 miles north of Stockholm, a man fell and landed on two people in the open foyer on the ground floor.
The man who fell, who was in his 80s, died, and one of the concert goers he landed on, a man in his 60s also died. The second concert goer sustained “non-life-threatening injuries”.
The scheduled performance was cancelled and the venue closed so that eyewitnesses could be questioned.
Police spokesman Magnus Jansson Klarin told the AFP news agency that officers were still attempting to establish the details of what had happened, and that it is not yet known whether a crime had occurred. "We received a call about someone having either jumped or fallen from a high altitude," he said.
ABBA's new album Voyage will be released on November 5th this year, the first album in forty years from the Swedish pop-superstars since they disbanded in 1983.
