The rapper will begin his comeback tour across the US in September.
US President Donald Trump has pardoned rapper Kentrell D. Gaulden yesterday, better known as YoungBoy Never Broke Again or NBA YoungBoy.
“I want to thank President Trump for granting me a pardon and giving me the opportunity to keep building — as a man, as a father, and as an artist,” Gaulden said in a statement. “This moment means a lot. It opens the door to a future I’ve worked hard for and I am fully prepared to step into this.”
The Louisiana rapper pleaded guilty in 2024 for possession of weapons as a convicted felon. This agreement resolved his Utah state charges and settled two federal charges, with one holding a 23-month sentence and the other carrying five years of probation with a $200,000 fine.
Gaulden was released from federal prison back in March and sent to home confinement. Though he finished home confinement last month, the pardon means he won’t have to follow terms of probation, such as drug testing.

“From Louisiana to Utah the battles have been endless, and now he can concentrate on first and foremost his family, and then, of course, his amazing career,” said Gaulden's attorney Drew Findling in a statement.
Earlier this month the rapper announced The MASA Tour, with 32 dates across the US scheduled to begin in September.
“He’s a fully free man now, with no travel restrictions,” said Gaulden's touring agent Andrew Lieber. “The world is at his fingertips.”
