Transylvania
Quality sludge-rock
Initially intended to be a side project for Millionaire/Mark Lanegan Band ivory tinkler Aldo Struyf, Creature With The Atom Brain has mutated over the last five years into a full blown beast of its own. Transylvania is their second, much more melodic record and part of this change of style can be attributed to the presence of Kyuss/QOTSA producer Chris Goss. With each song trippier than the last, the album is a defiantly sludgy affair with big hooks and even bigger riffs. Turn it up to 12 because 11 just isn’t loud enough.
Key Track: ‘Something Is Wrong’
