Was Man (Warren McCarthy) has shared his second track 'The Zodiac Speaking', which comes as the follow up to his 2020 debut 'Season 3, Episode 11'.

The Sopranos-inspired track saw Warren take heavy inspiration from the world of film and TV, which he repeats in his new single, 'The Zodiac Speaking'. The song opens with descriptions of scenes from David Fincher's 2007 mystery thriller, Zodiac, before developing into a meandering recollection of a party in Dublin.

The song is initially carried by organ chords and voice before featuring layers of intricate, duelling, ostinato guitar patterns, twinkling synth arpeggios and emotive strings. A protracted but captivating piece clocking in at just over six and a half minutes; 'The Zodiac Speaking' is both emotive and captivating.

Was Man's unique style of storytelling follows no pattern, but is borne from a love of culture, language and song. The gentle track follows its own path, becoming both an easy listen and meaningful moment.

McCartney usually performs with the quartet Let's Set Sail. The Dublin-based electronic folk band released their debut EP in 2017, titled The Nothingness of Now.
