Track of the Day: The Sleaze - 'Born On The Wrong Side'
Dublin rock band The Sleaze have absorbed influences from bands like Thin Lizzy, The Doors and Led Zeppelin. The question now is: can they take it as far as those rock icons?
Emerging rockers The Sleaze are hoping to make an impact on the Irish music industry with their new single, 'Born On The Wrong Side'.
With a laidback guitar melody and an almost country-rock sound, the single exudes a melancholic air. Confessional lyrics paired with effortless baritone lead vocals add to the atmosphere of diaristic sadness, as the background vocals build and the intensity increases. The blues clearly have an impact on the band's overall sonic output, with great results.
Previous offerings include 2020 single 'Scroungers' and their impressive 2019 EP Tell Me I'm Wrong.
Catch The Sleaze supporting alt-folk act The Scratch on October 24th in the Lighthouse pub, Dun Laoghaire.
