Track of the Day: Shobsy, 'The Way We Are'
The new single comes just before Shobsy’s headline performance at The Workman’s Club in Dublin on 20th April.
Irish singer-songwriter Shobsy has made an explosive return with another powerhouse single entitled ‘The Way We Are,’ an enchanting pop banger featuring the Dubliner’s iconic falsetto and expansive vocal range.
After two highflying performances earlier this month at the prestigious MUSEXPO event in Los Angeles alongside countless TV appearances and sold-out gigs in his Dublin hometown, Shobsy’s remarkable vocal talent and skillful lyrics continue to take centre stage.
‘The Way We Are’ further cements Shobsy’s ability to blend genres and push the boundaries of pop, synth and R&B. Featuring ear-worm melodies, dreamy production and pulsing synths, the new track is yet another multicoloured synth-pop anthem.
Building a reputation for himself as the lead singer of acclaimed Irish band State Lights, Shobsy embarked on his solo career back in 2022, stirring up an audience with his debut singles ‘Vanity’ and ‘Driven’ and quickly making a name for himself as a genre-defying singer-songwriter. Drawing inspiration from the modern sonics of The Weeknd and the 80's-style adrenaline rush of A-ha and Bronski Beat, Shobsy's unique sound continues to make waves across the Irish music scene.
The new release comes just before his highly anticipated return to Dublin at The Workman’s Club on 20th April. Tickets for the fast-approaching concert can be purchased via Ticketmaster.
