The singer songwriter’s thrilling new single comes accompanied by a film noir-ish music video.
Singer songwriter Audrey Bridgeman has released her new song ‘Highway’, accompanied by a riveting music video produced and directed by John Bermingham.
Bridgeman, who has been playing music since the age of 8, wrote ‘Highway’ alongside Gerry Hendrick. The song is about a couple on the run and is set in the 1930s/1940s, giving a nod to the quaint nature of the silent movie era. The track features a Miles Davis inspired muted trumpet, and provides the song with a cool jazz feel.
The musician started learning drums at the age of 14, and studied the instrument in Havana, Cuba, with some of the best players from the Afro-Cuban tradition. Bridgeman’s talent for playing drums shines through on the track, along with her vocal performance.
She is accompanied by Gerry on guitars and bass, Salvatore Urbano on Hammond, piano and rhodes, and Aidan Kelly on trumpet.

Bermingham has previously directed videos for two of Bridgeman’s previous songs - 'A Celtic Woman’ and ‘Come Away With Me’, the latter of which bagged ‘Best Music Video’ at the Los Angeles Movie Awards.
