Track of the Day: Martin McDonnell – 'Leaves Me Wanting More'

Martin McDonnell's new single 'Leaves Me Wanting More' draws you in with acoustic strums and a gentle tenor, before giving way to explosive pop production. Featuring Twins Katie and Aoife, McDonnell is backed by gorgeous harmonies and a host of strings. It's reminiscent of some of Ed Sheeran's better pop ballads, and perfectly complemented by the twins' harmonic vocals. This new track is sure to leave you wanting more. (See what we did there)?

The 18 year old Dublin native started off busking, and has since drawn attention from a variety of music industry folk. He's had a number of performances at such Dublin institutions as The Ruby Sessions and Whelan’s.

McDonnell's first headline gig will take place in the Main Room at Whelan's on 18th February. It was upgraded from Upstairs due to high demand. Tickets are available online here.
