Track of the Day: Five Grand Stereo '1975'
Today's Track of the Day comes from art rockers Five Grand Stereo with their latest single '1975'.
After their debut album Sex and Money was released last year to great reviews, Five Grand Stereo are back with their latest single '1975', a catchy pop-infused anthem about love and timelessness.
Launched in 2014, Five Grand Stereo is the brainchild of Chris Singleton who also has two solo albums, Twisted City and Lady Gasoline.
Following their last single, 'Anyone Can Be a Star', '1975' is the seventh track on Sex and Money. With influences from Bowie and The Beatles palpable throughout, the track oozes classic glam rock and sounds like it could, in fact, belong to the era it espouses.
Meanwhile, the video makes reference to the retro vibes with a visual homage to the 70s, including tape players and a vibrant colour palette.
