Track of the Day: Cult Called Man, 'Trash King'
Catch the band live at Whelan's on January 25th.
Dublin retro pop four-piece Cult Called Man have spent the past three years in the studio, recording their sophomore album. The band's first single from the forthcoming release, 'Trash King', is Hot Press' 'Track of the Day.'
The video was directed by Josef Geiger (best known for Foster The People's 'Pumped Up Kicks'), and shot in multiple locations across Germany. It sees the band running around graffitied streets with wild irreverence. It's comedic, but the music behind the video shows a band that have matured into their sound. The track is energetic and guitar heavy, with a driving percussion that offsets its singer's melodic tones.
Catch Cult Called Man live at Whelan's on January 25th, 2020.
