Tower Records to relocate from Wicklow Street

Having been in long-term negotiations to occupy the vacant Dawson Street premises left behind by Waterstones in February of 2011, it has been reported that Tower Records of Wicklow Street will make the move in the coming weeks.

The news comes after the announcement that Tower's home of 20 years - apart from a brief break - is set to house Ireland's first-ever COS outlet. The introduction of the trendy Swedish brand follows plans to open a large H&M fashion store in the former National Irish Bank on College Green, adding further flair to Dublin.

A spokesperson for Tower declined to comment, but it is understood that a statement is forthcoming. Watch this space...
