Otherwise known as the unshakable funk/soul/dub amalgamation from the Internet Explorer ads, ‘Too Close’ is not, contrary to popular opinion, the debut solo single from Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, but rather, an undeniably powerful outing from a brand new artist, 26-year-old Londoner Alex Clare. A throbbing, twisting piece of experimental chart fodder, made all the better by its relentless soul-pop vocal, this track is already well on its way to becoming one of the songs of the year.
