Tigwara unveil 'City Sleeps' single
Limerick outfit share first track from self-titled EP
Limerick quartet Tigwara have shared the first single from their forthcoming EP.
'City Sleeps' is the first cut from the four track collection that lands in January. A dark and broody tune with a strong post-rock influence, it features crunching guitars and sweeping strings in a mix that's nothing if not ear-catching.
The foursome - Mark Hogan on vocals and guitar, Luke Brennan on vocals and guitar, Jamie Kelly on bass and cello and Fionn O' Donoghue on drums - have built up a following in their home city and dipped their toes into the festival circuit at Valentia Island during the summer, but 2016 should see their first assault on the country at large; from the sounds of 'City Sleeps', they're primed to give it a good go.
