This is me
Tourist board folk for the septuagenarian set
Cut from the same cloth as Paul Brady, Kieran Goss and Christie Hennessy, Patrick Feeney peddles old school Irish tunes that are likely to give a multitude of Americans fond memories of a land they’ve never visited. ‘The Irish Girl,’ ‘Cavan Girl,’ ‘Our Lady Of Knock’ and the ode to the wonderful (cough) town that is ‘Carrickfergus’ all feature tin whistles, lilting vocals and delicately plucked guitars but lack any real kind of soul. This Is Me is one for the grandparents.
Key Track: 'Carrickfergus'
