They Pay For Love
While there’s still no word on a follow-up to 2010’s phenomenally successful Bounce At The Devil, Republic Of Loose make a welcome return to the world of euphoric funk pop with groovesome new single ‘They Pay For Love’. In what may or may not be a song shaming prostitute users, the insatiable Mick Pyro unleashes a three-and-a-half minute feelgood crusade, while simultaneously reminding us of our dire financial situation (“I’d like to go to the cinema,” he pines, “but I really can’t afford it.”) Boasting opulent strings and extreme warbling, this one’s a keeper.
