The alternative folk band will be performing at Tower Records this Saturday
The week leading up to Record Store Day is always fantastic for new music, and the second offering from an exceptionally talented Irish act, adds credence to that argument.
Today, the alt-folk group, The Young Folk, are releasing their brand new album.
First Sign of Morning is the follow-up to their 2014 debut The Little Battle. The latest LP is "inspired by tales of misfortune" and was recorded in Orphan Recordings, in Inchicore, Dublin, over a six month period. During the recording process, The Young Folk were assisted by Dublin multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, Gavin Glass and Scott Halliday.
People who know the band, know that The Young Folk are very generous guys. Not only are they dropping their new album today, but tomorrow, April 16, you can see them play for free at Tower Records at midday. So, drop in to see a phenomenal performance from The Young Folk, pick up a copy of First Sign of Morning and get it signed by the group.
If you can't make it to Tower, download First Sign of Morning on iTunes this week for €6.99. And as previous mentioned, because the lads are so lovely, if you send proof of purchase to [email protected], you could be in for a chance to win a signed First Sign of Morning LP, a t-shirt, a tote bag and 2 x tickets to any of their May gigs!!! The winner will be announced on Friday 22nd April.
