The Script are number one: Danny and the boys go top of the Irish album chart
Congratulations go out to current Hot Press cover stars The Script who have managed to fend off tough competition from Bob Dylan and The xx to land the number one spot with new album #3.
It takes some doing to keep the legendary Dylan off the top, whose 35th (yep) studio album Tempest takes its bow at #2 with The xx, one of the many highlights at this year's Electric Picnic, taking the bronze medal with sophomore effort Coexist.
David Guetta's Marlay Park bash has done his Nothing But The Beat album no harm at all as it climbs a whopping 16 places to become this week's #4 while Icelandic folk-rockers Of Monsters And Men drop three spots to #5. Last week's #1 - Two Door Cinema Club's Beacon - takes sixth place. The rest of the top ten is rounded out by Ed Sheeran, Heathers (new album Kingdom landing at #8), Emeli Sandé and Florence + The Machine.
