The Riptide Movement to play Slane?

Dublin blues-rockers The Riptide Movement have unwittingly become the participants in that particularly 21st century brand of persuasive democratic pleading, the Facebook petition. The band's followers have launched a bid to get them on the bill at Slane 2011, picking up almost 1000 followers so far. The band have been in touch with both MCD and the organisers of Slane but no word of yet as to whether they will be successful.
