The National men announce Grateful Dead tribute album
Aaron and Bryce Dessner are behind Day Of The Dead
A celebration of the music of The Grateful Dead has been announced be Aaron and Bryce Dessner.
The National pair are responsible for Day Of The Dead, a forthcoming record featuring all-star covers of the cult band's classic tracks.
Contributors, variously, include The War on Drugs, Courtney Barnett, Mumford & Sons, Lucius, The Flaming Lips, The Tallest Man On Earth and our own Lisa Hannigan.
All profits will help fight for AIDS / HIV and related health issues around the world through the Red Hot Organization; the three-disc collection hits shelves on May 20.
