The National film trailer
Mistaken For Strangers will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival later this week...
Mistaken For Strangers, a film that follows the band on the biggest tour of their careers in 2010, will premiere later this week at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival.
You can now watch the trailer for the documentary style film below.
The film – named after a song on their 2007 Boxer album – was shot by Tom Berninger, the younger brother of The National's lead singer Matt. Tom – who is nine years Matt's junior – is a budding horror filmmaker and listens exclusively to heavy metal. When invited to join the crew for the 2010 tour, Tom, who doesn't sound like your average fan of The National, brought along his camera to capture all the action.
