The Matthews' ‘Save Me’ Chosen As War Child Gig Theme
A charity fundraiser in Dun Laoghaire on Friday night will donate 100% of proceeds to War Child...
‘Save Me’ by The Matthews has been adopted as the theme song for a charity fundraising gig for refugees from Syria, scheduled for this coming Friday night in Dun Laoghaire.
The fundraiser takes place at Whiskey Fair, Dun Laoghaire, and will feature live music, DJs and fire breathers, as well as finger food, games and more. The Matthews are among the acts that will play the gig, which was sub-titled the 'Rachel has no clue what she’s doing but has to do something’ Fundraiser. .
Run by Rachel Schooner, we are promised “a spectacular night of music, dancing and fun in aid of the children caught in the refugee crisis.” Other announcements can be expected over the next 48 hours.
The Whiskey Fair is at 88 George’s Street Lower and is home to the Whiskey Moon live venue. All proceeds from the event are going to War Child Ireland, a charity that is rescuing children at risk in the refugee crisis and bringing them to safety. €10 Door Charge (Every Cent Going In The Pot) Or members of the public can donate via this link here.
