The Libertines plan for new album in 2015

As The Libertines continue their string of comeback shows over the summer, rumblings have already begun about a new album.

Speaking to the NME, singer and guitarist Carl Barat was hesitant on an official release date, outside of it coming after the completion of an October tour of Europe.

"I don't wanna just go on the road because then you'll get cabin fever and have an epic fallout. So yeah, I want to keep something fresh coming in. We just need to find the time."

The band's last album, the self-titled The Libertines, hit the fifth spot in the Irish charts back in 2004. Details of the new album will be reported as they emerge.
