The Lemon Twigs announce May shows in Dublin and Belfast
The last time the band performed in Ireland was in 2024
The Lemon Twigs have announced two Ireland shows this May: one at Vicar Street in Dublin on May 26 and one at The Belfast Empire Music Hall in Belfast on May 27.
The tour, which includes dates across the US, Canada, the UK, and Ireland, comes after the release of three singles at the end of 2025: ‘I’ve Got A Broken Heart’, ‘Friday (I’m Gonna Love You)’, and a Christmas collaboration with fellow New York band Tchotchke, ‘Tchotchkes’.
The Lemon Twigs were formed by brothers Michael and Brian D’Addario when they were still in high school, and since then, the duo has gone on to release five studio albums (the first, Do Hollywood, released when the brothers were 15 and 17 years old) and accumulate a fanbase that includes Elton John, Questlove, and Cillian Murphy.
Stylistically, the band has cited The Beatles and The Beach Boys as major influences, and in a 2024 interview described their overarching style as employing “pop structures and rock instrumentation.”
They have also cited their father Ronnie D’Addario - a musician in his own right, and the guitar player for Irish folk musician Tommy Makem for a number of years - as an influence. Last year, they released Written By, an album of songs written by their father, featuring themselves, Todd Rundgren, Sean Ono Lennon, Mac DeMarco, Darian Sahanaja, and Matt Jardine.
The last time The Lemon Twigs performed in Ireland was in 2024, following the release of their fifth album, A Dream Is All We Know.
Tickets for the two Ireland shows go live February 13.
