The Flowerpot Sessions
There's something for everyone on this mixed bag label sampler
Recorded over the space of a week, The Flowerpot Sessions is a two-disc release that features the likes of Damien Rice, Lissie, Beans On Toast, Angus & Julia Stone and many more, contributing a series of tracks of varying quality. Thankfully, they hit the mark more often than not. Rising Bristol act Kill It Kid are the stars of the show and their blues-tinged songs ‘Something Funny’ and ‘Send Me An Angel Down’ are worth the price of admission alone but there’s pretty much something for everyone on what is an entertaining label sampler, which serves as a great introduction to some newer acts you mightn’t have heard of.
