The Flavour Of Being
Mini album from grandiose mexican-Irish rockers
Serving as something of a taster for things to come, The Flavour Of Being is a mini album from Mexican/Irish act Simplifires that burns with ambition and invention. All five of the tracks on offer are utterly epic and fuse Muse’s flair for the grandiose with U2’s ability to write a hook that can unite everyone to great effect. Highlight has to be the art-punk sounds of ‘The Flavour Of Being, Burns’: if Simplifires can come up with more songs like it for their second album then we’re all in for a treat.
