The Colour Of My Dreams
Razorlight drummer takes the wheel
The first solo album from Razorlight sticksman Andy Burrows, The Colour Of My Dreams is stocked with short and sweet acoustic-based ditties that call to mind Belle and Sebastian, as well as the creepy pagan blokes from The Wickerman. The lyrics are a bit twee (“I’d rather have a cuddle than anything I know”), but it all works in a weird, twisted way and besides, he can’t be blamed for all of it, as he lifts the odd line from old Peter Dixon poems. Maybe those drummer jokes aren’t true after all.
Key Track: ‘Drummer Boy’
