The Band Of The Eye, Contagious Ignorance [Poison Tree]
ROCK FROM TERRORVISION SOUNDALIKES
Calling to mind the likes of The Stunning and early Terrorvision (waaaay before they had that novelty hit about booze) The Band of the Eye’s debut is a solid rock record. The riffs are the right side of sleazy, the song-writing is clever enough to separate the band from their peers (the lyric “We all worship Satan” sang over a sugary melody is a particular favourite) and all in all it’s an encouraging sonic manifesto.
