Group member Tony Di Blasi advised against international travel
After a long delay that in no way can be summarised in a single paragraph, The Avalanches returned this year with Wildflower and announced a string of shows. Sadly, the band will have to delay a few of those tour dates.
Band member Tony Di Blasi had to return to his native Australia due to a medical condition, and he "has been advised against international travel for the next few months". As a result, the band has had to postpone previously announced European festival dates. The band's show at Australia's Spendour in the Grass festival, however, is still a go.
The band says rescheduled and new live dates are forthcoming, so hopefully we won't have to wait another sixteen years to see them again!
Get well soon, Tony! And thanks for the new album, Avalanches!
